About us

Easy Live Auction is a vibrant company based in Eastbourne on the East Sussex Coast. Since its formation in 2009, it has earned status within the industry for its pioneering technology, its ability to help auctioneers engage a worldwide audience and in its highly acclaimed customer service. We are the only software provider to have built the complete solution for an auctioneer’s needs. Integrated live bidding, website, and back-office system results in a single, seamless transaction from start to finish for both auctioneer and bidder. Our systems mean dual or triple processing is obsolete, this 360 degree approach will save you time, money and stress. There is no longer any need for auctioneers to think separately about the ‘Aggregator Website’ vs ‘Direct bidding ’, in truth they really want the best of both and we can provide it. Our solution perfectly enables auctioneers to simultaneously grow their brand and benefit from the marketplace on easyliveAuction.com.

Our Mission

Our mission is simple, to bring bidders and auctioneers together and to streamline the complete auction process. We aim to do this by creating and providing innovative software tools to give the very best user-experience. Everything we provide is and always will be backed up with the highest calibre customer service team.

Our History

2019

New Audio/Video Technology
The live bidding was using HTML 5 technology but the audio and video broadcasting was still using Adobe Flash.

This was because until recently there was no viable alternative that could broadcast with the same performance and reliability.

However WebRTC offered a possible alternative but wasn’t ready initially. It has improved over the years to the point where we could now adopt it to do broadcasting.

The introduction of this technology meant we could bring audio and video broadcast to all devices including mobile phones and tablets without having to use 3rd party apps. Again increasing the user experience to new heights.

2016

Mobile-friendly website launch
By this time smart phones and tablets meant the accessing internet content was easier than ever but of course many websites including our own were not ready to provide the best experience for these new-age bidders.

We redesigned easyliveAuction.com from the ground up to give the best experience for all bidders on all devices.

After months and months of research, design and development we launched our new ‘Responsive’  website.

All the effort was worth it, it was received well and the launch went so smoothly (no technical issues), we were a little surprised. Usually with projects of this magnitude there are a few bugs to quickly fix after launch, we had none.

HTML 5 Live Bidding Launch
Up until this point the technology behind live bidding in the industry had been dominated by Adobe Flash.

Whilst Adobe Flash worked well and robustly this technology was old and was gradually being phased out.

We decided to adopt HTML 5 technology and crafted it into a new live bidding experience that was mobile friendly and robust in performance and reliability.

2015

Introducing the PLUS 1 (+1)
Autobids were a cutting-edge facility we had introduced back in the beginning but we knew one of the major problems bidder had was being wrong-footed (someone else bidding your maximum Autobid amount).

To combat this we brought ‘+1’ to Autobids. When selected this allowed our system to bid one extra increment for the bidder if someone else held their maximum bid.

It was very well received amongst bidders and auctioneers alike.

White Label Technology
The development of our ‘white label’ websites and technologies was a very important step, ideas were changing and many auctioneers wanted live bidding on their own websites.

We were perfectly positioned to offer the ‘best in-class’ live and timed bidding that seamlessly integrates with not only the easyliveAuction.com live bidding engine but also our powerful auction management software (AMS).

This meant information such as clients, bids, telephone bids, enquiries etc were posted directly into the AMS and the live bidding (on easyliveAuction.com and the ‘white label’) was controlled by just ONE CLERK!

2014

Our first website revamp
In January 2014 we launched as revamp of our website.

As far as revamps go it was pretty small but it was very important to us. We flattened the colours and modernised the look while maintaining the feel that bidders were used to.

2011

Introduction of online payment and messaging into our back-office system
To assist with auctioneers receiving payment and communicating with bidders we incorporated a payment portal, messaging system and shipping request system. This allowed bidders to click a link in their invoice email and pay online securely, request a shipping quote and send a message to the auction house.

This proved to be an important update by drastically reducing the number of hours auction staff would spend chasing payment and relaying other information.

Our systems really did save auctioneers time!

2010

easyliveAuction.com is launched
On Wednesday 20th January we  launched easyliveAuction.com. It  featured our very first live auction held by Eastbourne Auction Rooms on the 4th-5th February.

The live bidding was an instant hit with bidders, notably because of our flat fee option which saved them money but also with its ease-of-use.

We also made an industry first by introducing ‘Autobids’ to the world. ‘Autobids’ are now commonplace with all the other bidding platforms.

2009

Easy Live Auction is founded
It all started when the right ingredients of auction knowledge and systems development knowledge came together.

Work started on our live bidding engine, easyliveAuction.com and AUCTIONEER, our back-office auction management software.

"I would like to thank you so much for all your hard work... our first sale day was frankly a joy to manage - the easiest I have personally run for about a decade!... The entire package works wonderfully and truly makes sense."
"Thought i would let you know how please we are with the system and the fast and professional service we receive from you"
